Socio-Economic Transformation

We believe that access to knowledge and building financial skills are keys to the mobilization of gender roles and economic growth in Rwanda. Through our programs we provide financial education and invest in the development of women led local small businesses.

Our development model includes:

  • Skills development workshops for financial independence

  • Provisioning of initial seed money to establish income generating activities and small scale businesses

  • Establishment of voluntary savings and loan associations.

450+ women supported through income generating activities

We supported the establishment of 5 women led and financially backed small businesses

Hundreds of women went through financial education programs

“What actually keeps me awake is a struggle towards economic justice for women. I always believed that financial education is the backbone of society. When women are economically viable, they are able to deal with issues of violence, they are able to feed themselves, take care of their family, they won't stick with violence”

—Mary Balikungeri, Director and Founder of Rwanda Women’s Network

Help us end gender inequality in Rwanda:

Our goal is to extend our reach to all 30 districts in Rwanda! By that enabling all women in Rwanda to have access to gender based violence support, healthcare, and financial education.
Join us in this important mission.
